Neil Duboff

Neil Duboff is the managing partner of the Winnipeg law firm Duboff Edwards Haight & Schachter. 

Neil has been practicing law since 1985.  His practice is focused primarily in the areas of Corporate Structuring, Acquisitions and Financing, Transportation Law and Aboriginal Law with an emphasis on taxation, trusts, Governments and Associations.  Neil acts for many first nations across the country, banks, first nation’s development companies and many first nations businesses.


Prior to entering law, Neil was employed as a bank manager with the Bank of Montreal. 

Ron Kanutski

Thunder Bay Comic Idol's Champ of Champions 
Crowned "Thunder Bay Comic Idol King of Comedy


Although not much for accolades, Ron Kanutski is taking the comedy scene by storm. He started his humble beginning in stand up comedy by accident in Summer Beaver 1st Nation filling in for a comedian who missed his show due to delayed flights.  Ron proceeded to enter the Thunder Bay Comic Idol Competition winning runner up in 2009 and the Comic Idol Title in 2010.
Within 2 years he began sharing the stage with some of comedy's favorites, with most memorable being Darryl Lenox. By 2012, Ron started pushing & headlining shows

throughout Ontario, Minnesota, Wisconsin & Illinois. Although he is rarely found in comedy clubs or festivals he is very active and appreciated in the independent, corporate and casino comedy scene and opening for Country Hit artists Sawyer Brown, Rock and Roll Greats, Jack Russell's Great White and Canada's Juno Award Winning Artists Digging Roots. Another feather was added to his cap in 2015, winning the Thunder Bay Comic Idol Champ of Champions and crowned the Comic Idol King of Comedy.
As a past Social Worker & Addictions Counselor, he has made appearances on TVO, APTN & PBS to discuss social issues but has yet to make an appearance as an entertainer. "I am not worried," Ron says "If it is meant to be, my time will come."
Ron's comedy is flexible from clean to blue, pg to rated R and he is ready to perform bringing laughter to remote 1st Nation communities, cities and hamlets throughout Canada & the USA. Ron prides himself for his sobriety for over two decades and believes if you can make it in your home town you can make it anywhere. "Your neighbors are your toughest critics." 
Filled with stories, impressions, props, skits & current issues Ron is ready to deliver, so anything can happen. Buckle up because here he comes!

Neil has been a frequent presenter at conferences throughout Canada, including the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (2001), the Smart Money Fairs, presented by the Winnipeg Free Press, the annual conference of the Native Trade and Investment Association and First Nation Taxation Program, presented by Current information Ltd. and Group Mindset.  Neil has been a regular instructor of trust and estate planning in various school divisions as well as Red River Community College, CUPE, the City of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg School Division.

Neil recognizes the importance of being involved in our community.  He sits on and takes an active role in many nonprofit organizations throughout the country, including the Native Association of Trust Officers Society Trust and Estate Planners (STEP).
 
Neil Chairs the Regulated Health Care Professions Council for the Province of Manitoba, formerly sat on the Public Utilities Board and the City of Winnipeg Pension Fund.
